At our latest product release webinar, we demoed fresh features and workflows in action and shared how these new capabilities make creative and marketing processes easier, faster, and more integrated than ever. Watch the recording below!

Key topics we covered:

  • UGC, influencer, and freelance workflows to easily manage external collaborators
  • new AI features and automations that cut out tedious steps and make everything easier
  • Integrations with downstream marketing and ecomm platforms

Connecting everyone involved in the creative process

Globaledit is fundamentally an end-to-end platform that encompasses the entire creative production process, and it’s where everyone who has a distinct role in it can connect to create, manage, and deliver amazing visual content at scale.

So ADs, retouchers, internal and external vendors can hone and edit content, project managers can handle how it’s pushed through the pipeline, leadership can track how projects are going, talent can dip in and make selects, and downstream teams—social, digital, marketing, and e-comm—can pull final content into their platforms for distribution.

The Globaledit platform

Globaledit supports the entire content production lifecycle, starting as early as the moment a sample SKU is generated in your inventory system. Our Studio module ingests sample data from your PIM or inventory systems, which your studio and e-comm managers can use to plan sets & shot lists. On-set stylists, photographers, and directors can capture content and sync it directly into the platform, reference style guides, and flag shots for retouching. Digital techs and creative ops teams can then take over in the post-production part of the platform, organizing content in the hierarchy set up for their brand and prepping it for the edit process. Art direction & post teams can work together iteratively to mark up, edit, and hone content. Once finalized, selects are easily passed to leadership for review & approval. Then, content is pushed automatically or manually to downstream teams to share out, whether it’s an archival DAM or a marketing platform.

A hallmark of the platform is that it’s open and extensible so you can easily connect with any other tool you use, from project management to editing tools.

Next-gen workflows

Workflows are changing rapidly and new processes are emerging because of new content formats, technologies, and even new team structures. We’ve focused on some themes we’ve seen with our clients and built features to support those workflows.

  • Campaigns today are definitely multi-format and omni-channel. We know you need a creative workflow platform that supports all content formats, including videos, stills, GIFs, 3D assets, so you can handle and edit everything in one place.
  • AI is becoming a part of many different parts of the production process. Being able to automatically organize and search for anything is an easy one to take advantage of.
  • Similarly, automating steps that push content through the production pipeline is becoming more and more impactful for creating content quickly.
  • Easily collaborating with external contributors—whether they be freelancers, content creators, or clients—is key.
  • And finally, we’re ensuring Globaledit supports the teams that are experimenting with generative AI and incorporating it into their workflow.

The new creative production workflow

When we look at the different stages of the creative production process, the segments are generally familiar but the actual activities, functions, and people involved are more advanced.

All workflows start with content coming into the platform, but more often we see it coming from both internal and external sources. Content creators, freelancers, and even full agencies can regularly upload assets through features like uplinks. Content can also be generated by in-house ecomm and creative teams, or even with genAI.

Once that content comes into the platform, AI automatically identifies, tags, and sorts the content. AI image recognition can identify objects, known talent and celebrities, and even your best-performing e-comm model once trained. Once tagged, that content is immediately searchable and can be automatically organized into rules-based smart collections or other folders and galleries.

From there, post and retouching teams can work with art directors and brand managers to perfect each asset, all in once place. It’s a lifesaver when teams are constantly flipping between editing still and motion simultaneously and using their preferred tools, from Photoshop to Premiere Pro to Figma.

We’ve seen huge efficiency gains at the review and approval phase by integrating with the tools that teams naturally use to communicate like Slack. Globaledit can connect with any messaging or project management tool, notifying creative and leadership as soon as content needs review and giving them a super intuitive way to approve content—even from their phone.

That final content can be automatically pushed to the channels and platforms that need it—final PDP assets can automatically populate your Shopify page, or your marketing team can immediately access approved campaign assets via a Klayiyo integration. You can set up controls to to make sure the process has the right checks while also ensuring that integrations and automations push content to the next stage as soon as it’s ready.
