“globaledit has been a huge help for our retail marketing team. We’re constantly collaborating with our creative vendors, which involves sending and receiving large, high-res files. We’ve dramatically reduced the number of DVDs and drives shipped and can distribute files at lightning speed. Our work-in-progress and historical assets are now centralized and available to us at all times.”
— Bret Moore, Director of Print Production, New York & Company
New York & Company’s (NY&C) creative team manages many complex seasonal photo shoots, requiring quick turnaround on reviews, edits and approval. The company became hampered by the high cost of shipping assets for approval and a slow and unreliable FTP system. Frustrations continued once photos were uploaded, as each team member had to search through multiple image libraries on various drives and servers to find specific photos. Incorrect assets were accessed by unapproved recipients, as roles and permissions were not defined.
NY&C partnered with globaledit to simplify the photo management process and decrease costs associated with short and long-term storage and backup reliability. Images could be uploaded immediately (at speeds 100x faster than FTP) after each shoot for instant access, review and approval. Instead of sorting through multiple servers, the creative team uses globaledit Lightboxes to easily collect, share and communicate edits. Only the appropriate team members and vendors approved photos through globaledit’s User Permissions and Rights Manager Tools.
Internal creative and traffic teams and as well as vendors leverage a central repository with immediate access to images, and save time and money by eliminating disposable media.
