Client Case Study: AMC
“globaledit has helped us master the image approval process. The talent can quickly see what they need to approve, make those approvals and submit from anywhere. The system has made organizing all assets from delivery, to approval, to archiving easy. The customer service is incredible as I always receive their undivided attention immediately.”
— Rick Zwicker, Director of Photography, AMC
Originally a network that aired movies, AMC did not have an official asset management process or a talent approval workflow. It became even more challenging when the network entered into scripted original series. AMC’s vendor was not providing the features and support to keep up with the expansion. The team spent excessive time trying to locate specific high-res photos due to the disorganized archive. Additionally, all imagery was printed and mailed to talent, causing delays in the approval process.
AMC partnered with globaledit to spearhead a creative production process overhaul and create a master archive where all assets would remain accessible. Photographers could send images easily through globaledit lightboxes so team members have immediate access. globaledit also created AMC’s first ever metadata solution, which provides a standardized method to track, search and organize assets easily. AMC talent installed the globaledit app on their mobile devices, allowing for quick photo approvals from anywhere. The team experiences a speedy process for seamless ad mat selection with unretouched images and final files.
AMC intended to partner with globaledit for a singular purpose – to put all assets in one place. The solution was quickly adopted and grew to become a collaborative asset management system that has transformed the network’s growing content library and revolutionized talent approvals. The network boasts an acute metadata schema and a speedy review, approval and media outlet distribution process.
